Addressing Community Needs:
Life in Canada has become ever more stressful. Following the lack of affordable housing and the increase in unemployment now more than ever young adults are battling to make a space for themselves in this ever-changing environment. Through the facilitation of this community program, our goal is to equip young adults with the key life skills required to navigate this new environment to position them on a path towards success. By focusing on skills like team building and leadership, young adults will be encouraged to take on new challenges and work together to adapt to whatever roadblocks they might face and problem-solve to reach a positive outcome. Our other focus is on encouraging youth to partake in community engagement. It is pivotal for the youth in our community to understand the going-ons of our community. When one isn’t aware of the socio-political issues within their community it becomes even harder for there to be any realistic change because we believe that real change comes from within. So to uplift this community we must invest in the minds of our youth so that in return we can one day have leaders who are really about their community and want to see its growth
