About

Frontlines Pin-up was created as a community board for community workers, leaders, and the community at large to post information to become a resource for information sharing. It is a place to share program updates, funding, jobs, events, volunteering opportunities, blogs and so much more.

Since 2016, the idea of providing a community board website and newsletter, particularly focusing on youth was an interest of Weston Frontlines Centre. In 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic, Frontlines along with its many partners particularly those part of a cluster of agencies of York, Weston, and Pellham in Toronto, saw the need to provide a place for the sharing of information so that the community, particularly youth can find information about various opportunities. This site is also useful for those who are interested in getting into the field of social work to find jobs and funding opportunities.

Our logo and site bear similarities to real community boards in which thumbtacks are used to place information in communities. The one thing that differs is that we vet what is posted before it is live. Posts are vetted by the team at Weston Frontlines Centre.
