Unification by Tradition: Developing Canadian Youth

Hosted By: Kamay B.

Program For Ages: 10 to 19 Years Old.

“Unification by Tradition: Developing Canadian Youth” provides civic participation, leadership development, and a varied Canadian history curriculum to empower youth who are BIPOC, low-income, and recent immigrants in Toronto. The project celebrates community contributions, fosters cross-cultural understanding, and explores minority Canadian perspectives through workshops, community activities, and a public display. It seeks to improve ties within communities and foster a greater understanding of Canada’s multicultural past.

Addressing Community Needs:

By providing kids with leadership training, opportunities for civic involvement, and an inclusive examination of Canadian history, this project aims to empower the BIPOC, low-income, and newcomer groups situated in Toronto. By bringing attention to underrepresented stories and encouraging constructive relationships within communities, it advances diversity and inclusion. The project celebrates diversity, fosters a sense of belonging among participants, and improves cultural understanding through workshops, community activities, and a public exhibition. All of these efforts contribute to a more rich and cohesive communal fabric in Toronto.
