Contributing To An Inclusive Canada
The Later Days Retreat aims to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for women aged 24-29, a demographic that has been particularly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This project aligns with the goals of the grant by addressing key areas that contribute to an inclusive Canada:
The retreat is designed to be inclusive of women from diverse backgrounds, including different cultural, socio-economic, and educational experiences. The focus on mental health and well-being addresses a critical aspect of inclusion and will address the lack of community that some might feel especially when working or transitioning out of university into a full-time job. Participants will feel a belonging among other participants. By creating a supportive network of peers, the retreat helps combat feelings of isolation and exclusion and will help those who are often navigating significant life transitions. By providing tailored support and resources, we will foster resilience and encourage lifelong learning and growth.
The Later Days Retreat aligns with the grant’s objectives by promoting inclusivity, mental health, and community support. It addresses the specific needs of a demographic, ensuring that these women have the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive. Through its diverse programming and emphasis on building a supportive network, the retreat contributes to a more inclusive Canada.
