Hi’s Ability Box (HAB): wellness boxes for youth with disabilities

Program For Ages: 5 to 19 Years Old

Youth with disabilities face greater challenges than those without disabilities. To help mitigate the struggles of these youth and help empower them, a youth-led non-profit initiative, Hera Initiative (HI) distributes free “Ability Boxes” containing hygiene products, inspirational messages, wellness journals, educational resources, social support resources, little snacks/treats, and sensory fidget toys/aids such as fidget toys, as well as classroom aids for those with motor disabilities such as pencil grippers to youth with disabilities in the Fredericton and surrounding area.
