Celebration of Black Cultures through Art

Hosted By: Jasmin N.

“Celebration of Black Cultures through Art” is a three-day event for Black History Month, featuring an exhibition and art workshop in Kitchener-Waterloo. Embracing creativity, diversity, and storytelling, the exhibit showcases the dimensions of Black cultures through portraiture and abstract art. All attendees can enjoy a free community exhibition, enhancing cultural exchange and appreciation. My facilitated workshop emphasizes painting and drawing techniques, inviting BIPOC youth aged 10-24 to explore self-expression through self-portraiture. It supports their creative development and creates an inclusive space for community engagement. The event, with local refreshments, aims to uplift and provide a creative space for BIPOC youth.
