“Brushstrokes of Friendship: Painting Healthy Relationships”
Hosted By: Miguelangel S-A.
Project for Ages: 5 to 19 Years Old
Project Categories:
- Kids-Youth Empowering
- Arts Program
Project Summary:
The program’s objective is to construct a supportive space for personal growth and positive social interactions through art and practical lessons. The mural will be a lasting testament to their education and a reminder of the significance of supportive and respectful relationships.
Addressing Community Needs:
The community needs self-worth and resilience. The lack of open communication between students and teachers prevents them from receiving feedback and clarification on subjects they find difficult. There is a lack of discussion about school experiences among peers and adults. My primary objective is to encourage the belief that hard work and dedication can lead to the development of abilities. It’s important to emphasize learning from mistakes instead of perfection. Last, having a lack of comprehension, resiliency, and self-worth. If we work on changing these complex challenges, I do believe the techniques that will be created with the facilitators, these techniques will help children develop resilience—an important skill for all, especially in navigating the complexities of diverse social environments.
