Black History in Canada: History of all Canadians

This initiative aims to celebrate the rich history and contributions of Black Canadians during the 2024 Black History Month in Canada’s capital, Ottawa. With the purpose of educating diverse communities about Black History in Canada while raising awareness of the challenges faced by Black Canadians.
Highlights include a presentation about Canadian Black History extracted from the bilingual graphic novel, “The Canadian,” panel discussions with local Black community and business leaders as well as a networking component combining culinary delights and artistic expressions.
Come celebrate the rich history and contributions of Black Canadians on February 23rd from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This initiative aims to educate diverse communities about Black History in Canada while raising awareness of the challenges faced by Black Canadians.
