Navigating Mental Health as BIPOC Youth
The “Navigating Mental Health as BIPOC Youth 4-week” program aims to equip BIPOC youth in the Ottawa region with BIPOC-specific mental health resources and coping strategies. The program will consist of 4 sessions available to 15 youth participants from ages 12-20. The sessions will highlight the following themes: BIPOC youth identity, discussions of mental health in BIPOC households/communities, BIPOC youth leadership and BIPOC wellness strategies. Throughout the program, participants will have a safe space to talk about their experiences as BIPOC youth and receive guidance on approaching mental health topics in diverse cultural contexts.
