Project Summary:

Freedom Daughters’ Mental Health Support Program provides free, confidential counseling sessions to women from BIPOC, low-income, and newcomer communities who typically cannot afford therapy. The program partners with licensed therapists to address trauma, stress, and emotional well-being. It also promotes leadership, civic engagement, and awareness of diversity and inclusion, empowering women to overcome mental health challenges and become active, informed participants in their communities. This initiative aims to foster resilience, support personal growth, and build stronger, more inclusive communities.

Addressing Community Needs:

-Access to Mental Health Care: Provides free, confidential counseling to women from BIPOC, low-income, and newcomer communities who often face barriers to accessing mental health services.

-Trauma and Stress Management: Offers support for managing trauma, stress, and emotional challenges, helping women build resilience and improve their mental well-being.

-Leadership and Civic Engagement: Empower women to develop leadership skills and become active participants in their communities, enhancing their ability to contribute positively to society.

-Diversity and Inclusion Awareness: Promotes understanding and appreciation of diversity and inclusion, fostering a more inclusive community where all individuals are valued and supported.

-Community Support Networks: Creates opportunities for women to connect with others facing similar challenges, building supportive networks and strengthening community bonds.

This project addresses these needs by providing essential mental health support, promoting personal growth, and encouraging active community involvement.
