Project Category: Youth Empowerment

Project:

La Vie en Rose is dedicated to nurturing the personal and professional development of young Black francophone and/or bilinguals aged 18 to 29 through reading and mentorship.

Addressing Community Needs

Black youths face unique challenges and systemic barriers that require critical thinking, resilience, and empowerment to overcome. Through engaging discussions, workshops, and creative projects, our book club equips young people with the skills, confidence, and agency to navigate these challenges, advocate for themselves, and effect positive change in their communities.

Linguistic Inclusion: The program will impact both francophones and Anglophones living in Toronto.

Building a supportive community of peers and mentors is essential for black youths to thrive and succeed. Our book club provides a safe and inclusive space where young people can connect with others who share similar experiences, challenges, and aspirations, fostering a sense of belonging, camaraderie, and mutual support.
