Community organizations, JOIN THE CONVERSATION!
Help inform the development of a youth and families mental health pilot project.
Friends in Toronto Community Services would like to invite you to take part in an online focus group. We are currently developing a pilot project, Project Blossom, funded by Ontario Trillium Foundation, dedicated to examining youth and family mental health and pilot the use of restorative and holistic approaches as a deterrent, risk intervention and rehabilitative option to addressing violence and criminalization of racialized youth and families in priority communities.
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU
We would like to gain an understanding of your perspectives; on mental health among racialized youth and their families; best practices; opportune time for intervention and what we can do as a community to support and accommodate their mental health needs moving forward.
What are the most common mental health and emotional skills racialized youth need to foster?
How do we help them foster these skills?
When is the most crucial time to address risk factors?
