Tour into Trades
Hosted By: Nina Y.
Program For Ages: 10 to 39 Years Old.
“A Day in the Trade” is an innovative initiative designed to empower black youth aged 18 to 25 by providing them with invaluable hands-on experience and informative sessions in two significant trades. This one-day event aims to bridge the gap between the aspirations of young individuals and the practical skills required for success in the trades industry. Through a combination of immersive activities and educational workshops, participants are equipped with the tools and knowledge necessary to pursue rewarding careers in their chosen fields.
The concept behind “A Day in the Trade” is rooted in the recognition of the underrepresentation of black youth in the trade sector and the need for targeted interventions to address this disparity. By offering a unique opportunity for hands-on experience, the program seeks to demystify the trades and inspire young individuals to explore these career paths with confidence and enthusiasm.
