A note from the Communications team.

Being the Graphics Design Coordinator on our team doesn’t mean you’ll get stuck doing weekly design critiques or restricted by ancient brand guidelines. We have established the framework of our visual brand but there’s a ton of room to colour in between the lines (and honestly out of them when you think it’s useful). You’ll have tons of creative control.

We work closely together and make sure everyone is in on ideas from the ground floor. You’ll be part of planning and projects on a weekly basis and advise us on how to use our visual brand to shape how the Toronto community understands FoodShare’s work and maybe even how they think about food justice and the right to food.

Being our GDC is more about eye and heart than formal experience so if you think “I like the sound of this role and I bet I’d be good at it, but I don’t have the ‘right’ credentials, we really hope you’ll apply.

Thank you for your interest in joining our team!

FoodShare is a food justice organization. This means that we are committed to working to identify and dismantle systemic forms of oppression that cause and perpetuate food security inequities.

Racialized people and others from equity-seeking groups are over-represented in food insecurity and poverty statistics, but are significantly under-represented in community based food organizations. We believe that those most affected by an issue must have access to paid positions in organizations tasked with challenging poverty and food insecurity. FoodShare strives to create a workspace that reflects the diversity of identities and lived experiences that exist within the communities we work alongside.
